TRAINING, CONTRACT AND ORDERS
TRAINING: We want to be known by the Commercial Director; him has to become an expert in truffles. We take care of training the personnel.
DISTRIBUTION CONTRACT: As we look for an exclusive distributor in a given territory and we offer to defer up to 50% of the payment at the time of the order, we propose a contract that protects both parties. The distributor’s bank must be able to endorse a guarantee or send a Standby Letter of Credit to secure payment of orders.
PRODUCTION ON DEMAND: Since products are handmade, we keep very low stocks and we are set to produce on demand. We work with quarterly and monthly rolling purchasing forecasts. We want to stimulate planning and when the distributor’s order falls within the monthly forecast will get an extra 3% discount, or 6% if it falls within the quarterly forecast.
PACKAGING: We ship products to both hemispheres. In order to protect the products from temperature changes fresh truffles as well as oils and honey are dispatched in polystyrene boxes. Only fresh truffles and cheeses require cold storage and transportation.
